Alter Guild

The Altar Guild is a lay ministry to serve God in His house by preparing the Sanctuary for worship, maintaining and caring for the sacred vessels, altar linens, and vestments, and serving the clergy and the parish. Altar  Guild members are congregants  confirmed  and view their services as sacred duty.


Altar Guild and the SSEC Strategic Plan


Goal 1: TO INCREASE ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP BY 20% ANNUALLY.
Activities:

  1. Conduct regular teaching programs with the use of the church bulletins, workshops, and retreats.

  2. Evaluate members’ quarterly

  3.  Organize and carry out parish recognition program once a year. At this time, active members will be recognized based on certain criteria.


Goal 2: TO RECRUIT 200 NEW MEMBERS BY 2018.
Activities:

  1. Each member brings one person.


Goal 3: DOUBLE FINANCIAL INTAKE IN ONE YEAR AND SUBSEQUENTLY INCREASE AT LEAST BY 25%.

Goal 4: TO EXPAND AND INCREASE THE SCOPE OF EVANGELISM.
Activities:

  1. Visitation of parishioners and their relatives who are sick or bereaved
